WA PGA Championship on a Knife-Edge After Windy Third Round

The WA PGA Championship will be decided on Sunday at Kalgoorlie Golf Course after a windswept third round on Saturday failed to produce a clear leader. Gusty conditions played havoc with the field, preventing any golfer from asserting dominance and leaving the tournament finely poised heading into the final day.

Kalgoorlie's notorious breeze tested the players' shot-making and patience, with the leaderboard remaining tightly packed. The challenging environment meant that no competitor could pull away, setting the stage for a tense finish. Organisers confirmed that the final round will proceed as scheduled, with weather forecasts suggesting similar conditions could again influence play.

The wide-open nature of the championship heightens the stakes for the final round, as players vie for a significant title on the PGA Tour of Australasia. With no clear favourite, the outcome remains unpredictable, promising an exciting conclusion for fans and a potential career-defining moment for the eventual winner.
