URGENT: Crews Comb Miles of Iowa Creek for Missing Man After Flash Flood

Search crews in southwest Iowa combed miles of creek on Friday for a missing man whose vehicle was pulled from the water after flash flooding washed out a nearby road section. The vehicle was recovered from the creek, but the man remains unaccounted for, prompting an extensive search operation.

The incident occurred after heavy rains triggered flash flooding in the region, causing a section of road to wash out. Authorities have not released the man's identity or further details about the circumstances leading to the vehicle being in the creek. The search involves multiple agencies and has covered several miles of the waterway.

The ongoing search highlights the dangers of flash flooding, which can quickly turn roads into treacherous waterways. As crews continue their efforts, local authorities are urging residents to avoid flooded areas and to report any information that could aid in locating the missing man. Further updates are expected as the search progresses.
