Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Special Drive commenced today in Mizoram

As notified by the Election Commission of India to Chief Electoral Officers, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Special Drive commenced today in Mizoram.

Aizawl 8th october,2026: During this period, verification will be carried out to check whether any eligible, bona fide Indian citizens entitled to vote were mistakenly omitted or removed from the Electoral Roll during the recently concluded Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Under this Special Drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will compile a list of individuals who were listed on the electoral roll prior to the SIR but were excluded from the final SIR electoral roll. The BLOs will conduct house-to-house visits for these individuals.

Genuine Indian citizens will be informed and advised to apply for inclusion in the electoral roll using Form-6. Additionally, newly eligible voters who have recently turned 18 will also be identified and covered.
