Smart Power System Co., Ltd. (SPS), a Taiwan-based system integrator, will introduce its next-generation GridInsight energy data platform and demonstrate a redesigned GridInsight EMS energy management interface at the 2026 Net-Zero Taiwan & Energy Taiwan exhibition. The event runs from October 14 to 16 at booth K0516 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. The updated interface extends the platform from utility-scale, front-of-the-meter storage sites to commercial and industrial behind-the-meter users, aiming to enhance asset monitoring, dispatch, and operating returns.

The redesign incorporates years of operational feedback from asset owners and O&M teams, focusing on four key workflows: monitoring, analysis, reporting, and work orders. New features include customizable monitoring views, historical trend comparison across multiple measurement points, automated report generation, and direct conversion of alarms into work orders. The GridInsight platform comprises four software suites—EMS, SCADA, VPP, and Assessment—and supports eight application areas, including AI data centers, solar PV, microgrids, and electricity trading. SPS has achieved IEC 62443-3-3 Security Level 2 certification for industrial control system cybersecurity, underscoring its commitment to secure cloud management.

The expansion into behind-the-meter applications reflects a broader industry shift toward distributed energy resources and demand-side flexibility. By leveraging a dual architecture of on-premises and cloud systems, GridInsight EMS enables service providers to manage geographically dispersed sites efficiently, while end users gain better load visibility for accurate dispatch. The platform also supports GridInsight VPP cloud services, aggregating distributed assets for demand response and electricity markets. SPS will host seven booth forums on October 14 and 15, featuring General Manager Dr. Kevin Huang, who will present on 'SPS 2.0' and other topics. With experience across more than 130 sites totaling over 1 GW and 3 GWh, SPS positions itself as a key player in the Asia-Pacific energy transition.
