In a significant boost to youth employment in Telangana, the Singareni RG-1 Skill Development Centre has successfully placed 112 candidates in various jobs. The training programme, conducted by the state-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), aims to equip young individuals with industry-relevant skills, enhancing their employability in a competitive job market.

The RG-1 centre, part of SCCL's corporate social responsibility initiatives, offers vocational training in trades such as mining, electrical, and mechanical engineering. According to official sources, the selected candidates underwent rigorous training and were subsequently hired by various companies. This achievement underscores the growing importance of skill development programmes in bridging the gap between education and employment in India.

The success of the Singareni model could serve as a template for other public sector undertakings and private companies to invest in skill training, potentially alleviating unemployment challenges. As India strives to harness its demographic dividend, such initiatives are crucial for sustainable economic growth and social upliftment.
