Schwarzenegger Is Santa, Ritchson His Elf in Crime in Prime Video's 'The Man with the Bag' Teaser

Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming holiday action-comedy 'The Man with the Bag,' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus and Alan Ritchson as Vince, a petty criminal enlisted to recover a stolen sack of gifts. The film is scheduled to premiere on December 2, positioning it as a major entry in the streamer's holiday slate.

The teaser introduces a high-stakes festive heist: Santa recruits Vince to retrieve the stolen presents from a vengeful elf, played by Awkwafina. This marks Schwarzenegger's first leading role in a Christmas film and pairs him with Ritchson, who has gained prominence from the series 'Reacher.' The combination of star power and seasonal action aims to attract a broad audience during the competitive holiday streaming window.

With the release date set for December 2, 'The Man with the Bag' will compete with other holiday offerings across streaming platforms. The film's success could influence Prime Video's future investments in star-driven holiday content, while also testing Schwarzenegger's draw in a family-friendly action-comedy role. Global reactions to the teaser have yet to be fully gauged, but early social media buzz suggests strong interest from fans of both actors.
