KSTDC to Roll Out 'Mayura Ruchi on Wheels' Food Vans at Top Tourist Spots

The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) will launch 'Mayura Ruchi on Wheels', a fleet of food vans, at major tourist destinations including Hampi, Madikeri, Jog Falls, Nandi Hills, and Mysuru in the first phase. The initiative aims to provide convenient dining options for travelers and enhance the tourism experience across Karnataka.

The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) is set to launch 'Mayura Ruchi on Wheels', a mobile food van service, at key tourist destinations across the state. In the first phase, the vans will be deployed at Hampi, Madikeri, Jog Falls, Nandi Hills, Mysuru, and other prominent locations in Bengaluru. The initiative aims to offer convenient and quality dining options for tourists on the move.

KSTDC, a government agency responsible for promoting tourism in Karnataka, has been expanding its hospitality services to cater to the growing number of visitors. The 'Mayura Ruchi' brand is already associated with KSTDC's restaurants, and the mobile version is expected to replicate the same standard of food and service. Official details regarding the menu, pricing, and exact launch date are awaited, but the move is seen as a step to enhance tourist convenience at sites where dining options may be limited.

The launch of food vans could boost local tourism by providing reliable meal options, potentially increasing visitor satisfaction and dwell time at these destinations. It may also create small-scale employment opportunities and support local suppliers. As the first phase rolls out, stakeholders will watch for its impact on tourism revenue and whether KSTDC expands the service to more locations in subsequent phases.
