India, Myanmar hold 3rd defence cooperation meeting

New Delhi, October 8: The 3rd India-Myanmar Defence Cooperation Meeting was held in Guwahati on Wednesday, with both sides reviewing progress on bilateral defence cooperation initiatives and discussing new areas of collaboration.
The meeting was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Myanmar’s Chief of Armed Forces Training, Lieutenant General Pyae Sone Linn. Discussions focused on training, capacity building and enhancing mutual security.
Myanmar also appreciated India’s humanitarian assistance under Operation Brahma following the devastating earthquake.
