Hyderabad Comic Con 2026 Shifts to Bharat Future City, Fans Concerned Over Distance

Hyderabad is preparing to host Comic Con 2026 from December 11 to 13 at Bharat Future City, a new venue on the outskirts of the city. The three-day event will feature international guests, cosplay competitions, and the Indie Game Utsav, aiming to draw thousands of fans from across the region.

The choice of Bharat Future City, however, has sparked concerns among enthusiasts due to its distance from central Hyderabad. Previous editions were held at more accessible locations like HITEC City, and fans worry that the remote venue could deter attendance and complicate transportation. Organizers have not yet announced shuttle services or other mitigation measures.

Despite the concerns, the event promises to be a major boost for pop culture in India, with international guests and a dedicated indie gaming showcase. As Comic Con India expands its footprint, the success of this year's Hyderabad edition could set a precedent for future events in emerging venues. Fans and organizers alike will be watching closely to see how the logistical challenges are addressed.
