Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to heavy rain and thunderstorms on Monday morning, marking a significant shift in weather conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few hours, prompting residents to brace for potential disruptions.

The IMD reported that while cooler temperatures prevail, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius. The agency also predicted partly cloudy skies and no rainfall over the next six days, indicating a return to drier conditions after Monday's downpour.

The sudden weather change may impact daily commuting and outdoor activities, with authorities advising caution. The rain brings temporary relief from the heat but also highlights the variability of the region's weather patterns. Global observers note that such events are consistent with seasonal monsoon trends, and no unusual international reactions have been reported.
