Barcelona Crush Getafe 3-0 as Gordon Opens Account

Barcelona continued their flawless start to the La Liga season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Getafe on Sunday at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The win marks their sixth consecutive victory, maintaining their position at the top of the table. Anthony Gordon, the summer signing, scored his first goal for the club, adding to the team's impressive performance.

Barcelona dominated from the outset, with goals from Robert Lewandowski and João Félix setting the stage before Gordon sealed the win. The victory extends Barcelona's perfect record, with 18 points from six matches. Coach Xavi Hernández praised the team's consistency, stating, 'We are playing with confidence and the new players are adapting well.' Gordon expressed his delight, saying, 'It's a dream to score for this club and contribute to the team's success.'

The result puts pressure on rivals Real Madrid, who trail Barcelona in the early title race. Barcelona's next challenge is a Champions League fixture, where they aim to carry their domestic form into Europe. Getafe, meanwhile, remain mid-table and will look to regroup in their upcoming matches.
