Aizawl Traffic Police Conduct Special Night Drive to Boost Road Safety
To ensure public safety and reduce traffic violations and accidents in the capital, the Aizawl Traffic Police have intensified their enforcement drives, urging all vehicle owners and drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules day and night
11th October, Aizawl: During a special night drive conducted recently, traffic personnel penalised and apprehended multiple violators:
24 individuals for driving without a valid driving license
12 drivers for driving against the flow of traffic (one-way/wrong way)
6 two-wheeler riders for riding without a helmet
4 drivers for drunk driving
2 motorists for modified/excessively noisy exhausts
28 others for various other traffic offences
Traffic police officials emphasised that citizens can report traffic violations or inconveniences caused in unmonitored areas by calling the Traffic Control Room at 9366553559 or 0389-2313061. Officials added that special night operations will continue regularly to maintain safety across Aizawl city.
