Joker Persona Helps Cong 'Feel the Fear' in Opponents

Wang Cong has embraced a Joker-inspired persona to intimidate opponents and silence critics ahead of her flyweight world title fight against Natalia Silva at UFC 332 on Saturday in Las Vegas. The Chinese fighter claims the theatrical mind games help her 'feel the fear' in her rivals, dismissing suggestions that she is undeserving of the title shot.

Cong, known for her unorthodox antics, has faced scrutiny over her rapid rise in the UFC flyweight division. However, she insists her psychological tactics are a legitimate part of her preparation, citing her recent performances as proof of her readiness. 'I don't care what people say,' Cong told BBC News. 'When I step into the cage, I will make Silva feel the fear.'

The bout has sparked global interest, with fans and analysts debating whether Cong's theatrics will translate into success against the highly ranked Silva. A win for Cong could cement her status as a top contender, while a loss may fuel further criticism. UFC 332 is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena, with the flyweight title on the line.
