He reportedly went to the waterfall along with two other employees of a mining contractor based in Badakalimati. Youth Goes Missing While Bathing According to information, the three employees had gone to Handibhanga Waterfall for a visit. While they were bathing, Dibyaranjan reportedly lost his footing and fell into deep water. Bamebari police and the Fire Services team were informed about the incident and launched a search operation. The rescue team continued the operation for more than four hours but could not locate the youth. As evening approached and visibility reduced, the search operation was suspended for the day. Search Resumes At Waterfall The Fire Services team resumed the operation on Saturday. A detailed search was carried out in the reservoir of the waterfall in an attempt to locate Dibyaranjan. Despite the extensive search, the team could not find any trace of the missing youth. The operation continued amid difficult conditions at the water body. ODRAF Team Called For Search With the youth still untraced, an ODRAF team was reportedly called in to assist with the search operation. The search was scheduled to resume after the ODRAF team reached the spot today.
