Wedding Crashers DVDs Flood Little Free Libraries Across the Nation

In an unexpected viral phenomenon, DVD copies of the 2005 comedy 'Wedding Crashers' are being surreptitiously placed in Little Free Libraries across the United States. The trend, first highlighted by aggregator Headtopics, has seen individuals 'uncorking' the DVDs into these community book-sharing boxes, turning them into impromptu movie dispensaries.

Little Free Libraries, small wooden boxes where people exchange books, have become the unlikely stage for this prank. The trend appears to have been fueled by social media, with participants sharing photos and videos of their 'Wedding Crashers' drops. While the exact origin is unclear, the film's cult following and the ease of acquiring used DVDs may have contributed to its spread.

The implications are lighthearted but raise questions about the intended use of Little Free Libraries. Some stewards have expressed amusement, while others worry about non-book items cluttering the boxes. As the trend continues, it remains to be seen whether it will fizzle out or inspire similar movie-themed pranks in other community spaces.
