07 October, Agartala: Tripura observed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service with a 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha' and 'Seva Jyoti Yatra' in Agartala. The programme was held at Children’s Park in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and other BJP leaders and workers.
Participants listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address virtually, following which the programme began with the lighting of the 'Seva Jyoti'. A rally was later taken out through different parts of Agartala city.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s 25-year journey in public service, from serving as Gujarat Chief Minister to leading the country as Prime Minister.
He highlighted various welfare and development initiatives, including housing for the poor, piped drinking water, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana and PM-KISAN.
The Chief Minister also highlighted India’s progress in infrastructure, digital technology, railways, space exploration and the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India’ initiatives.
The programme focused on development, public welfare and the vision of building a developed, prosperous and self-reliant India.
