October 06, Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha has announced that the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has granted a Letter of Permission (LoP) for the establishment of the Tripura Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital at Tepania in Udaipur, Gomati district.
According to the Chief Minister, the institution will offer 60 undergraduate seats in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
Dr. Manik Saha shared the announcement on social media today and expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, for granting approval for the establishment of the government Ayurvedic medical college in Tripura.
The Chief Minister said the new institution will play an important role in expanding medical education and Ayurvedic healthcare services in the state.
