Tamil Nadu government exempts Public (Law and Order) Department from RTI Act

Govt. issued an order to exempt information on subjects such as communal and caste clashes; all matters relating to NSA detentions, reports into deaths in police custody, agitations by students, farmers from ambit of the RTI Act
