SP Fields Ram Gopal Yadav, Dhanraj Nathwani for Rajya Sabha Polls in UP

The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Friday announced Ram Gopal Yadav and Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh. Both leaders will file their nomination papers on September 30, according to a party statement. The elections are necessitated as the terms of several sitting members are set to expire in November.

Ram Gopal Yadav, a senior SP leader and national general secretary, has been a prominent figure in the party and is currently a Rajya Sabha member. His renomination underscores the party's reliance on experienced leadership. Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, a businessman and political figure, is a new entrant to the SP's Rajya Sabha roster.
