Krishnasamy Demands Renaming of Adi Dravidar Welfare Department

Krishnasamy, founder of the Puthiya Tamilagam party, on Tuesday demanded that the Tamil Nadu government rename the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, saying the current nomenclature is outdated and fails to reflect the community's identity and aspirations. The Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, established in 1950s, is responsible for implementing welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes in the state.
