Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma felicitated Asian Games gold medallist Lovlina Borgohain at Lok Seva Bhavan on Tuesday evening.
Congratulating Lovlina on her achievement, the Chief Minister presented her with a cheque of 50 lakh rupees. He also announced that Lovlina would be promoted to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police.
Dr Sarma said Lovlina’s achievement would inspire the younger generation of Assam to dream bigger and pursue career in sports.
