ACME Solar has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar capacity at its Bikaner project in Rajasthan, bringing the total capacity of the project to 133.36 MW. The new capacity, located in Kelan village, Chhatargarh tehsil, Bikaner district, was switched on by ACME Renewtech, the company's subsidiary, on October 5. Commercial operations are scheduled to commence on October 7, according to a company filing.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for ACME Solar, which has been steadily increasing its renewable energy portfolio in India. The Bikaner project, now totaling 133.36 MW, contributes to India's ambitious target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. While specific financial details were not disclosed, the commissioning underscores the company's commitment to scaling up solar power in resource-rich regions like Rajasthan.

The addition of 66.68 MW is expected to enhance ACME Solar's operational capacity and support India's transition to clean energy. As the country ramps up renewable installations, such projects are crucial for meeting energy demands and reducing carbon emissions. The commencement of commercial operations on October 7 will mark the formal beginning of power supply from this expanded capacity, with potential implications for local grid stability and renewable energy adoption in the region.
