40-year-old demand for road to Scheduled Caste village causes communal rift in Nilgiris

As many as 40 Sri Lankan-repatriate Scheduled Caste families in Ambal Colony, Kil Kotagiri, were set to benefit from a short road near their hamlet. However, the road laying project approved on September 3 has now sparked communal tensions.
