Uganda's Tooro Kingdom Crowns New King: Prince Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I Installed

Prince Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I was installed as the new Omukama (King) of the Tooro Kingdom in a traditional ceremony held early Tuesday morning at Karuziika Palace in Fort Portal City, Uganda. The installation followed an overnight procession that began at 11 p.m. on Monday at Rwengoma Palace, with the prince and thousands of his subjects walking approximately three kilometres through Fort Portal City to the palace.
