MIZORAM TO HOST NORTH EAST BANKERS’ CONCLAVE 3.0 ON OCTOBER 13

Aizawl, October 7, 2026: A preparatory meeting regarding the organization of the North East Bankers’ Conclave in Mizoram on October 13, 2026, was held this afternoon at the New Secretariat Conference Hall, MINECO, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Khilli Ram Meena, IAS. The Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, is expected to attend as the Chief Guest. Chief Secretaries from various Northeast states, senior officials from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), state officials, and representatives from various banks are also expected to participate.

During the meeting to prepare for hosting the North East Bankers’ Conclave 3.0, arrangements were discussed for receiving the Union Minister for DoNER and organizing his visits to various sites. The accommodation, transportation logistics, and security arrangements for invited guests arriving from outside the state were also reviewed. Plans have been made for the Chief Guest to lay foundation stones for 5 upcoming development projects and inaugurate 5 completed projects aimed at advancing Mizoram's development.

Today's meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary (GAD), DGP, Commissioners & Secretaries of Health & Family Welfare, Planning & Programme Implementation, Tourism, Public Works Department, and Lok Bhavan; Secretaries of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Planning & Programme Implementation, Horticulture, Information & Public Relations, Printing & Stationery, Finance, and Cooperation; the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Aizawl, the State Protocol Officer, as well as representatives from Mizoram University, NEDFi, and various banking institutions.
